2 weeks oldWindy and the litter at 2 weeks old. The pups are not only bigger but much more active than at 1 week. No more lying around like a collection of tiny logs.

MrBlue
Mr Blue put on an incredible growth spurt this week, and is once again the biggest puppy in the litter, as he was at birth. All the puppies have doubled their birth weight by the end of Week 2. Mr Blue doubled his weight from where he was at the end of Week 1. He lost his pickiness about goat milk and is gobbling the stuff down now. Mr Blue's eyes are fully open now -- in the photo they were just coming open.

It can be almost impossible to make a puppy hold still for his picture!

Here's one way it can be done. MrBlue

MrGreen
Mr Green is still the smallest puppy in the litter, but he is not backward. He walks better than anyone but Blanca. His eyes are still completely closed, though.
MrGreen
I put Windy's dinner in the puppy box, when the puppies were hungry too -- and when I turned around from the computer, Mr Green had toddled over to her supper dish and was helping himself. I'm sure he wasn't actually eating the kibble -- but he sure was licking up the yogurt.
Miss White
Blanca is now a pretty sturdy little walker. She is still the most vocal puppy. All the puppies now make real puppy noises instead of the tiny squeaks of newborns -- but if you startle Blanca by touching her when she isn't expecting it, she gives out a really loud OOOWWOOO. Nobody is going to step on Blanca by mistake!
Miss White
You can almost see Blanca thinking, "Would you kindly just leave me alone?!?
Pinkie
Here's Pinkie at 2 weeks. Her face is lightening up -- but it is darker than it looks here. The dark guard hairs are all stuck together so you can see more of the light undercoat.
In this picture, Pinkie has just finished her breakfast and is all beslobbered with milk and saliva. Look carefully at her eyes -- they were just coming open! They are completely open now, a day later.

Pinkie is right behind Mr Blue in size. She is still a very greedy eater. The pups are putting down 2 bottles of goat milk in a feeding now, which means some puppy has to be detached from the bottle so I can go refill it. When that puppy is Pinkie, she fights to hang on to that nipple and then fusses indignantly when it vanishes.
Pinkie
Pinkie was also the first puppy to attempt to leave the puppy box. She didn't quite make it -- Blanca has the honor of being the first to actually crawl out. Between the two of them, they have made it necessary to insert the door panel so Windy now has to jump in and out of the box.

Grown Keeshonden are known for "frogging" -- lying with their hind legs extended either behind or to the sides. Here's two precocious little froggers!
